Sequel is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients and employees.
We want you to know that we are monitoring the outbreak closely and staying up to date with the latest World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updates and protocols. Our Clinical & Nursing Team is continuously
developing and updating standardized Coronavirus screening tools and protocols, as well as providing education to all programs in the Sequel Youth & Family network.
We have implemented system-wide operational changes for our programs and facilities to mitigate risk exposure for our residents, clients, and staff and to ensure business continuity for our organization. Many of these have been in place since January 2020, and we continue to evolve our plans as new information and guidance are provided to us.
All Sequel Youth & Family Services Facilities Are:
- Using mandatory protocol and screening tools for residents, clients, and employees
- Utilizing site-specific plans for care coordination and emergency response
- Adhering to Sequel’s Infection Control Policy
- Attending mandatory education and training
- Limiting access to/from residential programs for visitors and residents to mitigate virus exposure
- Canceling all non-essential business travel
- Implementing enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocols
- Remaining in close contact with our food and pharmaceutical vendors to proactively manage supply chain continuity
Sequel is Committed to Providing Care Through This Challenging Time
We will continue to remain open to receive clients & are dedicated to providing support to all those in our care
For our residential treatment centers in particular, we are designating select, trained staff members to continue coordinating transfer of new clients into our programs.
Upon arrival in our programs, we will utilize our screening tools to determine next steps and follow all CDC guidance.
We understand that some of this may be difficult news for you to accept, and we are making all efforts to offer a variety of other communication methods in lieu of visits including extended and additional phone calls and video conferencing.
We believe that it is our obligation to each other and the community at large to do our part to mitigate risk by reducing the chance of exposure wherever possible.
This is an uncertain time in the world today, but one thing is certain – our mission to improve the lives of the people we serve. We deliver care to a population in desperate need of support and guidance, and we have to continue showing up for them in critical moments like this. TOGETHER, we are united and committed and will pivot and adapt to meet the challenges of COVID-19 as a team.

RESOURCES
GLOBAL HEALTH & WELLNESS
The conditions in each community may vary. Refer to your state and local health departments , as well as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO).
SOCIAL DISTANCING
There are a lot of questions about social distancing and the ask that people begin limiting their exposure to others. The CDC recommendation on social distancing is to “take extra measures to put distance between yourself and other people to further reduce your risk of being exposed to this new virus.” By taking proactive measures to limit our exposure to one another now, there are significant increases in our ability to contain the spread and impact of the virus. >You can read their full COVID-19 guide here.
